What customers say?

“ Best food we had in Il de Re (and maybe even my personal top 10 restaurants all time). Really high quality food and super interesting flavours. Everything was perfectly balanced, I was quiet my whole meal just because I was in awe by all the great flavours. On top of that: the staff is truly amazing and friendly and there is a really nice and cozy ambience, not too uptight or anything. Go here!! ”

“ La Salicorne is quite simply superb. From the welcome at the door to leaving after a sumptuous meal, lovely affordable wine and perfect service. It took me 20 years to visit this restaurant since coming to Re. I booked for my second visit on Friday. ”

“ Excellent service and menu, make a reservation for the outside dining area and get the fantastic pesto clams and a bottle of that good ile de Re chardonnay and you're set! exquisite experience overall... going again this week. ”

“ We ate a very good dinner here. Excellent fish and ratatouille. And a lovely local red wine. It's a great venue, simple but stylish and there's outdoor seating. Friendly, efficient service Parking is 1 minute up the road. ”

“ I am giving this place 4 stars but only because the owners are so nice. Entree of calamari was amazing and set a high standard for the rest. So when the main course of st jacques and black in pasta came out, I was devastated... no real seasonings, the cream sauce had no salt with the st jacque as good as it is on its own still needede something, it just had no taste. The dessert was alright with the merveille being tasty but nothing to write home to. Overall the food was three star but for the price it is 2 star. 30 for the pasta, 16 for the calamari, 10 for the dessert. If you are charging that, you expect more. Owner was brilliant though and service was nice and for that it is 4 star. ”

“ The best food on the Island! This incredible little restaurant wasn't even on the list of recommendations from our resort (but it is now) when my husband found it. We walked in, no expectations, after a long day exploring and left knowing we would be back often. It is a small, curated menu, often what's served today may not be served tomorrow (chef Patrick's motto is essentially, if it's wonderfully fresh today, he will create magic with it). The entire menu is mostly local, include the beers. Try any of the entrees; the stuffed zucchini, the razor clams baked in garlic crumbs (if available), avocado mousse salad (again if available), octopus carpaccio, and my absolutely favorite, bone marrow bake with a escargot creme fraiche (made us want to lick the bowl. For your main course, the gambas risotto, skirt steak, fish wrapped in banana leaf (with a side sauce that was addicting) and finish with strawberry creme brulee, fondant chocolate with salted caramel ice cream. This divine find of a restaurant is a reason to come back often to Ile de Re, if only to see what this husband and wife culinary team will create next. You will not be disappointed! ”
